Tequilathon San Felipe's Second Anual Tequila Festival


Just because San Felipe has its own Tequila Festival does not make San Felipe a party town…there are lots of other reasons. The second annual Tequila Festival kicked off last night and promises a good time to be had by all. Moderate Comments by twenty or so vendors displaying & offering sips of a couple of hundred different Tequilas, food vendors and entertainment. This years Tequilathon boasts 35 vendor and 500 different Tequilas available to taste and purchase. The event starts at noon and goes till midnight. A five dollar entry pass gets you in & out privileges each day and access to lots of sips of all kinds of Mexico’s national drink. Six food vendors will be offering lots of interesting Mexican dishes and will keep you from drinking on an empty stomach. The Festival is excited to bring us quality entertainment two Norteno Groups (Mariachi Bands) will be strolling the Malecon and adding that little something extra to your Tequila tasting experience. The featured entertainment is the Lupita Infante daughter of one of Mexico’s most legendary motion picture stars Pedro Infante. Not only will Lupita be entertaining us with her singing, she is also promoting a Tequila named for her father and to commemorate the 50 anniversary of his passing.
This years event is expected to draw up to 3000 folks as there are pre runners in town despite the San Felipe 250 being moved to Ensenada, and there are lots of folks in town for the Catamaran Regatta also this weekend. See you there!
