San Felipe Cancer Walk March 24th

Rotary Club of San Felipe
Helping to Build a Healthier Community

The Rotary Club of San Felipe is organizing a “Walk against Cancer” on Saturday March 24, 2007 in San Felipe, B.C., MX. Considering the importance of this event for the community, Las Amigas, a San Felipe Scholarship organization and S.F.A.R.P, an organization of retired Americans, working for the benefit of San Felipe are co-sponsoring this event.

The purpose of the “Walk” is to raise money to help build a healthier San Felipe. Participants in the walk will gather pledges for donations from family, friends and co-workers.

The money raised will be used to expand community cancer screening programs for women, men and children and to help patients complete cancer treatment programs when governmental agencies, insurance programs and the individuals are unable to do so.

A committee made up of medical professionals, government agency representatives and selected community members will direct distribution of funds.

Sponsors wishing to participate in “Helping to build a healthier San Felipe” will receive special recognition during the event period and throughout the year.

The Rotary Club of San Felipe will be recognized by S.A.T and the I.R.S as a “not for profit” corporation and will issue a factura or deductible receipt for donations.

The financial goal of the WALK is to raise a minimum of $ 1.000,000 in pesos or contributed goods or services.
